Nyad : Ends Attempt to Swim From Cuba to Florida

Here's something to anticipate: Netflix is currently in the process of developing a new film called "Nyad." This biopic will focus on the remarkable life of Diana Nyad, a marathon swimmer who is also openly lesbian. In 2013, at the age of 64, Diana achieved an incredible feat by becoming the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without the protection of a shark tank. This challenging 110-mile swim took her 53 hours, during which she faced numerous obstacles including jellyfish stings.

Annette Benning has been cast to portray Diana in the film, while Jodie Foster will play her longtime best friend, training partner, and expedition coach, Bonnie Stoll. Bonnie played a crucial role in helping Diana train, prepare, and ultimately accomplish this dangerous endeavor, which was her fifth attempt at the record-breaking swim.

Although I don't have information about Bonnie's sexual orientation, I can confirm that Jodie Foster is gay, and Annette Benning has previously portrayed gay characters successfully, as seen in the movie "The Kids Are All Right." So, any doubts about the authenticity of the casting choices can be put to rest. While I'm unsure about their swimming abilities, the project itself is quite exciting for several reasons. Watch All films and TV shows online only on Afdah.

Firstly, the involvement of Jodie Foster and Annette Benning. Secondly, the inclusion of at least one confirmed queer character. Thirdly, the film marks the feature film debut of Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, the talented duo behind the acclaimed documentary "Free Solo." And lastly, as I mentioned before, there will be LGBTQ+ representation in the film.
